The City of Bonita Springs is designing improvements for East Terry Street from Old 41 Road to Bonita Grande Drive. The purpose of this project is to improve the quality of life in Bonita Springs. The design will include improvements to stormwater structures, sidewalks, multi-use paths, and a roundabout at Morton Avenue. The City received a $16.8 million Community Development Block Grant as a part of the Mitigation Program for the design and construction of these improvements. The design is expected to be complete in summer 2025 and construction is expected to begin in winter 2025/26.

Due to high volume of eastbound (over I-75) rear end crashes, high turning movement volumes and high bicycle/pedestrian volumes at this intersection a roundabout is being proposed.
